Guyana
This will be VIMM’s first to Guyana. Guyana is a small country located in the northeastern corner of South America that borders Venezuela, Suriname, and Brazil. Guyana is an indigenous word which means "Land of Many Waters”. It is also the only English-speaking country in South America.
The team, led by Dr. Stoney Abercrombie and Andrea Monroe, will meet in Atlanta on Thursday, April 3 and fly to Georgetown, the capital of Guyana. We will stay there in a hotel overnight and fly to the Interior part of the country where we will stay the rest of the week in a dormitory type building that houses mission teams several times a year. We will be well taken care of. The plan is to host 3 days of medical clinics at the compound and then travel into the jungle 2 days to hold medical clinics for the Venezuelan refugees. The team may do a Crusade and host a Vacation Bible School for the kids. There will also be some Sightseeing. We will fly back to Georgetown on Thursday, April 10 and stay there overnight. Then fly back to Atlanta on Friday, April 11.
This trip will be an amazing opportunity to share the love of Jesus with others through medicine and evangelism. Please prayerfully consider joining our team and being a small part of something so much bigger than you are.
