The team will arrive and depart from Asunción Airport. We will spend four nights in a hotel in Asunción while conducting three medical and dental clinics in and around the city.
From Asunción, we will travel to an orphanage in Itagua, where we will hold another medical/dental clinic and run a mini VBS with the children. We will spend the night at a hotel near the orphanage.
Next, we will travel to Ciudad del Este for our final medical/dental clinic and stay overnight in a nearby hotel. On the last day, the team will visit Iguazu Falls in Brazil before returning to Asunción to travel home.
The trip will be led by Andrea Monroe. This will be her 10th trip with VIMM, and she has co-led two trips with Dr. Stoney Abercrombie. Andrea has previously served in St. Vincent, Panama, Haiti, Honduras, Cameroon, Guyana, and now Paraguay.
Our host missionary and medical lead will be Dr. Sylvina González de Barrera. She and her husband, Guillermo, live in Uruguay and serve as missionaries throughout Central and South America. They are wonderful partners who will take excellent care of the team.
