Feb. 2027 Nepal- Villages Surrounding Kathmandu

Feb. 18 2027 — Mar. 01 2027

Details

Mission: We plan to conduct medical camps in three to four villages and operate clinics for five days. This trip will also offer opportunities to engage with unreached populations through evangelism. We will collaborate with a local church in Kathmandu to secure translators and support the ministry team. Additionally, we aim to provide compassionate medical care and work alongside the local pastor to establish or strengthen mission efforts in villages near Kathmandu and potentially in disaster-affected areas.

The team will travel from Atlanta to Kathmandu, stay at a nearby hotel, and commute daily to the clinic sites, returning to the hotel after clinic hours. The team expects to see approximately 200 to 250 patients per day, presenting with a range of disorders, including pediatric cases. The team will provide routine medical care as needed. Ultrasound and other diagnostic applications will be available as needed. The team will partner with a local church as part of the ministry. Although the clinic work area is located in villages, the facilities are well-equipped, and accommodation is comfortable. The region is situated in the Himalayas near Mt. Everest, with a climate that typically ranges from mild to cool (46–64°F). This period generally features a mid-latitude climate conducive to outdoor activities, although occasional rainfall may occur.

Travel and Accommodations: The team will fly from Atlanta to Kathmandu, stopping in Istanbul along the way. When they arrive in Kathmandu, they will go to a hotel to rest, buy any needed medication, and prepare for the clinics that start on Monday. For the next five days, the team will visit nearby villages to offer medical care and share the love of Christ. The schedule also allows time to adjust to the new environment and attend a church service at the Hosts’ church. There will also be a chance to do some sightseeing.

For an added adventure, the team can choose to travel to the Himalayan mountains and visit other places of interest, and accommodation details can be provided upon request to [email protected]
